UPCOMING EVENTS

*IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT* – TRIP CANCELLATION

Dear Friends,
Namaste,
After consulting five doctors, except for one, all others have advised me that group tours (especially of seniors) are still not safe. They all have said something like this –

” _We would suggest waiting it out please till people are fully vaccinated and immunity has been built up.
These times are very uncertain and to be honest, no one is 100% sure how the delta variant will affect the
vaccinated population. Best is to wait it out. Especially with Quebec being a hot spot in the past.”_

I had asked this question about a couple of weeks ago but I received the answer now when I had just announced the trip.

The response to the trip was overwhelming.  Within 24 hours, I had received 32 friends who were ready to travel.

Now after the Doctor’s note, I feel it is our joint responsibility to help flatten the coronavirus curve and keep ourselves safe especially at our age. In order to do this, I have decided to cancel Trip to Ottawa. Quebec City and Montreal. While I am still dedicated to travel together to wonderful destinations, our safety comes first. During this trip every single restaurant, monuments, museums etc are asking for reservations which is difficult for me to work on this time.

Please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. I am looking forward to traveling with the group in future, once this pandemic passes. Next year 2022, we might be in a better position to travel within Canada (travelling outside Canada seems still a little far) – West coast or East coast within Canada is a good possibility.
Thank you for understanding during these difficult times.
Have a wonderful day.
Sincerely
Parbhat Sood

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

UHFCAN ACCOMPLISHMENTS

TERRY FOX RUN FOR CANCER

About twelve years ago a few of the like-minded Hindu Canadians have participated, in the annually held  TERRY FOX WALK,  making their individual donations for the cause. Yearly, the participants started growing and the individual donations, started to grow correspondingly. Paul Sayal who was the originator of this initiative and with a few other supporters, decided that instead of contributing individually they should participate in the TERRY FOX  WALK as one Hindu Canadian  group. Today Hindu Canadians participate as one group under  the banner of United Hindus of Canada. Over $ 100,000 has been donated to this cause, and it is growing by leaps and bounds every year. This successful initiative, led to several other collective Hindu Canadian FUND-RAISING initiatives.

IN 2020 IT WAS A VIRTUAL RUN (2020) due to COVID-19.
